MAKEUP VS NO MAKEUP

Hey Guys!
So this week I haven't really been feeling that great and so haven't worn much makeup.
I am a huge make up fan as you have probably guessed by some of my other blog posts...however I have been inspired to cut down on the makeup by one of my friends who NEVER really wears any other makeup other than a tiny bit of mascara!

I love letting my skin be natural sometimes and so wearing makeup definitely improves my skin!
Here is a one of picture of me and my friend without makeup on!

So although I have my hair scraped back and my pyjamas on, I don't HATE how I look...I think I definitely look younger (I'm only 18 so looking younger isn't ideal), but I definitely look fresher compared to sometimes how I look!
I think sometimes it's important to learn what suits your face! Bone structures have a massive part to play in this! Some bone structures can't handle too much makeup, I think sometimes when I wear too much I can look slightly draggy so it's all about finding a happy medium between natural and halloween ;)

3 leather jackets, 3 different looks

Hey Guys!

So recently, myself and 2 of my friends all went on a night out together!
We all looked completely different BUT we all had that one same key piece of clothing that brought our outfits together, and that was a leather jacket!!

It just made me think how one item can be dressed up in so many different ways!
I went for a black dress with lacey sleeves and a pair of my favourite pink heels to add a bit of colour.
Ellie (girl on the left of both photos) kept it casual and wore a floral patterned top with a pair of jeans, but dressed up the outfit with nude heels.
Lorna wore an asymmetric nude dress with nude heels and her leather jacket!

3 different looks but all paired with a leather jacket!
This proves a leather jacket is an essential piece for ANY wardrobe :)

Getting the chop!

Hey guys!
So recently I had a bit of a 'I WANT A CHANGE' moment and ended up cutting half my hair off!
I like it...I don't love it yet though! I was so used to my long long hair that I could do absolutely anything with but I had to adapt to my shorter hair and find new ways to rock it!

Below is a before and after picture of myself before my hair cut!

It definitely needed cutting off as my ends were so dead as I have a slight obsession with dyeing my hair! Anyway I brought a few new products that would go with my new hair so I thought i'd share them with you!

The first is called 'Matt Fat' and is by Lee Stafford, it comes in a little 'salt and pepper' style shaker. You basically just shake it onto your roots and massage in. It gives a big boost of volume to the roots! Good for first thing in the morning if your hair is a bit flat!

The second is also by Lee Stafford! 'My Big Fat texturised hair super spray'.
As my hair is naturally really wavy I love this as I can just spritz it on and mess up my hair in my hands and i'll be good to go! It's a really unique product as it isn't a hairspray, a wax spray OR a sea salt spray! It's all of them combined into one!

Just before bed I always put on a bit of Umberto Giannini 'Overnight Beauty Moisture Balm'.
You put a small handful on this on before bed and rub it all through your hair.
Leave it in overnight and then when you wake up you have silky soft hair!

That's all for now!

Lace and Leather

Despite the recent mountain of snow that has appeared where I live, it's finally spring!
But just because it's spring I don't automatically throw all of my autumn/winter pieces to the side! I just find ways of changing and adapting them to make them feel more spring/summery!

I am a total girly girl! I absolutely love lace!
I think lace adds femininity to any outfit! It can also be worn in so many different ways! Whether it's just a lace blazer adding girly sophistication to a look, or lace detailing around the neckline of a dress or even sheer lace tops! I just love it. Here are a few of my favourite lacey pieces that I own!

Top - ASOS
Dress - ASOS
Blazer - Next

Another of my favourite materials is leather! I think every girl needs to invest in a leather jacket because they come in handy ALL the time! Real Leather is sometimes a bit pricey but just think of it as a lifetime investment! I also love leather skirts too! Again, a bit pricey but you can get 'leather look' alternatives that look equally as good!
ASOS have a great range of leather jackets and leather skirts so I would definitely recommend checking them out!

Makeup Essentials

Okay...so I have a MASSIVE obsession with makeup, I would be totally lost without it!
Only my very closest friends have seen my face completely bare!

Before applying any makeup in the morning I always use a day cream, it brightens up my face, hydrates my skin and generally wakes me up!!

Chanel - Hydra Beauty Creme
I love this because it makes my skin feel so soft and look radiant  It's a little bit pricey at £50 but I would definitely recommend it as it can last between 6 months - 1 year depending on how much you use!

Another of my essential buys is another Chanel product.
Chanel - Perfection Lumiere
Which is a fluid foundation. My colour is 20 beige and it matches my skin tone perfectly (yay no lines!) It lasts me the entire day and gives a really flawless finish!
Again a little pricey at £36 but definitely worth it!

I love love love big lashes! As well as a mascara i'm a HUGE fan of false eyelashes! They make eyes look bigger and help them to pop which is essential on a night out!
I normally just apply a quick layer of Maybelline Collosal Volume and then apply lashes!
I wore Eyelure Naturalites Double False Eyelashes 202 on my birthday and got loads of compliments!

My final and absolutely essential beauty buy (and probably my favourite!) is lipstick!
Below are a few pictures of myself sporting some of my favourite lip colours!

Please excuse the silly faces! 99% of the lipsticks I use are Maybelline because they're a great price and they haves such a wide range of colours to choose from!
Some of my favourite shades are 'Pleasure me Red' 'Rosewood Pearl' and 'Pink Punch'.

Hope you found this useful!

Sinead X

this is my first ever blog.

hey hey hey,
so i've never blogged before, but I've always read fashion blogs and I just thought it would be something fun to try out.

So the blonde one is me, I look crazy but the photos I like best are generally the ones where I look like a total idiot!
My names Sinead and i've just turned 18..FINALLY!
I live in Derbyshire and am in my last year at school and I cannot wait to leave and venture out into the world!
My favourite things are music and fashion and my friends! I wanted to go to Music College but that didn't work out too well this year so i've decided to have a year out. I'm actually pretty excited about it! Come September i'll just be able to do whatever I want for a year!
Anyway, I haven't decided what i'm going to focus my blog on yet! Probably just makeup and fashion! Along with useless bits of information about my life and what i'll get up to on my year out.

Wow, done my first blog.

EXCELLENT.

thats all for now!
